It's sad that in a country where pressing issues that threaten national growth persist quite obvious that even blind men can see it. Our leaders choose to press on non-issues with what ever intentions we know are purely selfish. I won't press much on this but if they feel it's right why can't they start with their own children. 1st and foremost a child at 13 can't decide what she wants as such obvious examples live within us.. things we thought we wanted at 13 are things we grew too realise we don't want any more.
This act of stupidity would increase divorce, rape, adultery, and hate thus children would be forced into marriage against their will thus infringing their basic human right of choice. Our 1st lady should speak on this and our so called leaders should tackle pressing issues and move this country forward. Nigeria pays our leader more than any other country in the world but we get little in return. Our currency is useless outside Nigeria, we don't have good electrical supply, schools are on strike, some students at the primary level who should have free education are seen on the streets hawking and begging. Let's spend time in building the leaders of tomorrow not destroying them and killing the beauty of life in them. Self hate alone can lead to a lot of things let's fight against this. I am IK ogbonna and I stand against such act of murder to our future.

On being a brother to the famous twins
I will say that I am blessed and fortunate because it’s an honour to be the person behind them, and doing all the necessary things to keep the brand relevant at all time. At the same time, it’s not easy because every arrow and weapon tend to land on me, but I can’t complain because it’s what I signed and nobody is forcing me. I am blessed and happy that they’re my brothers.

His most memorable experience with P-Square
The fact that they’re recognised globally. At times, I sit in my room and people across the world would be calling for shows and you start wondering how your music got there despite the fact you don’t have a promoter, marketer or even the label’s brand office in these places.
I think that’s just the most memorable experience. But now, it is much easier with our deals with Konvict Music and Universal.
On P-Square’s personal life
Paul is more on the reserved side while Peter is on the social side. Peter is like a socialite, outgoing person more than Paul. Peter has the motivating drive. He loves to ginger us into doing stuff and at the end of the day; you don’t have an option than to follow him.
As for Paul, he would not consult anybody if he has any idea before doing it, and after perfecting it, he would now call us into it.
Why he only focuses on P-Square’s Careers
If I am just a producer, manager or record label CEO, I will definitely expand by signing more artistes and commercialise myself, but my hands are tied. My hands are full because I do all these works myself. I don’t have time and when I have little time to take my work outside, like producing video or audio for someone else, there is always competition, especially when the artiste is not as big as P-Square. The next thing you hear is that Jude doesn’t want me to shine more than his brothers. Besides, most up and coming artistes make the mistake of comparing themselves with the big masquerades. That’s why I have to limit myself and remain with P-Square. Soonest, I will relinquish some of the work to capable hands, so that I can have enough time to rest and promote other artistes.
On Celebrity life for him
Why are you people always forcing me to come to the public? I don’t want to be a celebrity and I am not one of them. I don’t sing, dance or act.
I love where I am now (hiding myself) and if I love to do that, how do you expect me to introduce the lady I am dating? Back to your question, I have somebody, yes. That’s all.
Like I said, I have somebody but I won’t tell you her name.

The most important thing I look out for in a woman is understanding, aside physical beauty because everybody wants to look at the person beside him and be amazed and happy to have married a beautiful lady, not an ugly girl. Basically, your wife should understand you, especially when both male and female fans are swarming around you, wanting to take photographs with you and the rest. She must understand when you’re at work and office. That is my kind of woman

On Thursday the National Assembly has approved a total of N4, 987, 220,425,601 in the amendment requested by President Jonathan.

Despite the differences between the executive and legislature over the amendment, the Senate and the House of Representatives swiftly considered and passed the bill.

The amount captured in the amendment is almost the same with the earlier figure approved by the lawmakers in the original budget.

The total budget passed by the Senate was N4.987 trillion, out of which N388 billion was for statutory transfers, N591 billion for debt service, N2.415 trillion for recurrent (non-debt) expenditure, while the balance of N1.591 trillion was earmarked for contribution to the development fund for capital expenditure for the year ending on the 31 December, 2013.

Presidential liaison officer to the National Assembly, Joy Emordi described the passage of the bill as the triumph of constructive dialogue between the presidency and the lawmakers.

A 53- year-old teacher on Grade Level 10, Asogbon Victoria Abosede, was Thursday, arraigned before Lagos Chief Magistrate’s Court One, sitting in Ikeja, for allegedly impersonating the first lady of Lagos State, Dame Abimbola Fashola.
The defendant was said to have sent text messages between June and July to the Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area of Lagos by falsely presenting herself as first lady of Lagos State and obtained N100, 000 from the chairman.
The defendant who is facing a 10-count charge of impersonation and fraud, preferred against her by the Lagos State government, was docked before Chief Magistrate Eniola Fabamwo.
The prosecutor, Attorney General of Lagos State, Ade Ipaye, told the court that the accused committed the alleged crime between the months of June and July 2013, by also sending text messages to one Gbolahan Khadijat Daudu, who is the Chairman, Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, Maryland in Ikeja area of Lagos.
The Attorney General, who was represented by Sumonu Babatunde, said she also represented herself as sister to Sherifat Aregbesola.
He said the defendant between June and July 2013, at Local Government Education Authority, in Alimosho Local Government also sent a text message to one Isaac Omoregie, Education Secretary and falsely represented herself as Mrs Fashola.
Mr Babatunde also alleged that the suspect with intent to defraud presented herself to be Mrs Fashola, to obtain redeployment from Local Government Education Authority, Alimosho, to the Lagos State Basic Education Board.
He also claimed that between the same time, the accused sent a text message to one Isaac Omoregie, Education Sectarary Alimosho, Lagos State by falsely presenting herself as being sent by the first lady to obtain three Blackberry phones and N105, 000, from the chairman.
The prosecutor said in June 2013, the defendant falsely represented herself as sister to Mrs Sherifat Aregbeshola, the first lady of Osun State, and gave a false information to one Mrs Gbolahan Khadijat Daudu that Mrs Aregbeshola was involved in a road accident and could not attend the wedding of Daudu’s son and that thieves carted the gifts meant for her away as a result of the accident.
According to the prosecutor, the offence committed is contrary to sections 378 (1), (b), 312 (2) and punishable under sections 312 (3), 96 (a), criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.
Counsel to the defendant, Samuel Gbolahan, pleaded with the court to grant her bail in liberal terms, since the crime is a bailable offence.
However, when the 10-count charge was read to the defendant, she pleaded not guilty to the charges.
After listening to both counsel, Magistrate Fabamwo granted the defendant bail in the sum of N1 million with two responsible sureties in like sum, stating that the sureties should deposit N250, 000 with the registrar.
She adjourned the case till September 2, 2013 for mention.

Things like this were only seen in movies before now, but it happened this morning at Afromedia street in the Okokomaiko area of Lagos. The story behind the bird that changed in this woman is strange:

From what I hear, three (3) birds were flying in the area and suddenly one fell and landed into a water and to the surprise of all around, the bird changed into this woman.

A source revealed that bird-turned-woman was "arrested" by the police where she confessed to be a native of Ikole, a town in Ekiti State.

I wonder how the police is going to handle this case. Strange indeed!

Actress Nkiru Sylvanus has been sacked from the cabinet of Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State. The actress was relieved of her position as Special Assistant on Lagos Affairs following a cabinet dissolution by the Imo State government which affected all commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants and special assistants in the cabinet.

According to the State Government, ‘the dissolution was necessary to give room for more capable hands into the system in order to fully actualize the rescue mission agenda of the State Government.

Did you experience the issue of segxwal harassment while growing in the industry?
segxwal harassment is not peculiar to our industry alone, we have it everywhere. But I will tell you that I never experienced such during my training with the Odunfa caucus. We have thorough professionals in that caucus who have no time for such frivolities. Don’t get me wrong; I am not saying they don’t ‘toast’ ladies, but it is left for you to accept or not. They will never force you or consider it before giving you roles. I get my roles on merit not by sleeping around with producers.

But I experience this with some movie marketers who insisted that they must sleep with me before giving me money for production. But I called their bluff!

Pastor Fidelis Eze who confessed that he actually had segxwal intercourse with Joy and Anthonia both of them 11 years old, claimed he was possessed by evil spirit, which made him sleep with them.

Consequently, Pastor Fidelis Eze with Deeper life Bible Church in Abudu, Edo State, was paraded by the state Police Command for defiling two under-aged girls.
Contrary to his claims, Pastor Fidelis was said to have lured the two girls, into his room after sending them on an errand. He had carnal knowledge of them before dismissing them.
Father of one of the girls who noticed the unusual way his daughter was walking when she got home, obtained confession from her, which led to the arrest of the Pastor.

We gathered that Pastor Eze will be charged to court for his crimes.

A police corporal, identified simply as Friday, has been accused of knocking down a teacher, Mrs. Taskirat Anjolaiya, and her baby, Ammarah, in Lagos, Nigeria.

Unfortunately, as a result of the incident, the mother and daughter sustained pelvic fracture, brain injury and a broken jaw among others.

According to eyewitness, the policeman, who is attached to FESTAC Police Division, was driving against traffic on Apapa-Oshodi Expressway when he knocked down the victims.

It was learnt that the graduate of Mathematics Education was alighting from a commercial bus with her child and had not noticed the police patrol van coming from the wrong direction.

The victim’s husband, Mr Sulaiman, said the policeman claimed he was running an errand for the Divisional Police Officer, DPO Ibrahim Zango.

The policeman was said to have told them that he was instructed by the DPO to drop off a woman at the airport in Ikeja and he drove against traffic to avoid traffic congestion on the appropriate route so that she would not miss her flight.

He said, “The accident occurred on June 23, 2013. My wife was on her way to a religious progamme when a police driver drove recklessly on Oshodi-Apapa Expressway. He was driving against traffic and shouting at drivers on the right side of the road to clear out.

“He eventually knocked down my wife and baby while they were alighting from a bus.

“The policeman’s first concern at the scene of the accident was to immediately get a cab to convey the woman in his vehicle to her destination.”

According to Punch findings, the policeman rushed the victims to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba, and deposited N70,000 for their treatment.

At LUTH however, doctors at the emergency ward discovered that the mother of three had sustained a pelvic fracture, facial bruises, and brain injury while the baby, Ammarah, also suffered deep facial cuts and a broken jaw.

Sulaiman lamented that since the incident, over N500,000 had been spent on treatment. He said the policeman had abandoned the victims at the hospital since depositing the N70,000.

He expressed disappointment over how the DPO handled the matter when they went to report the matter at the station. “A few days after the accident, when I could no longer bear the pressure alone, I went to see the DPO and I told him what happened. Zango lambasted me before offering us additional N10,000,” he said.

Sulaiman lamented that the N10,000 was too little, considering the fact that he is unemployed at the moment and had spent all his savings. He expressed disappointment that the police, who had been charged with the duty of protecting lives, were the ones inflicting hardship on his family.

The spokesperson for the state police command, Ngozi Braide said: “It is really a pathetic case and no one is happy about it. You were the one that just informed us of the incident. We have started taking disciplinary action against the DPO and the corporal. We will hold a meeting on the issue on Friday.”

But she didn't say if financial support would be given to the family.
