The lifestyle influencer in a post via her Instastory questions the trend of a botched surgery that she’s been seeing around; some of which she described as having the shape of an oven.

A man simply identified as Adegbite has committed suicide after he lost his company’s N150,000 to sports betting around Pegi, Kuje Area Council in Abuja.
It was gathered that Adegbite placed a bet with the all money which was given to him by his boss to pay his colleagues, hoping to replace it after winning.
One of his colleagues at work, who spoke to PUNCH on condition of anonymity, said Adegbite committed suicide after he lost the money.

“We were surprised when it happened. He was given the money to pay some people at his place of work. The money was in the region of N150,000.
“He took the money to a sports betting shop and staked it. He selected some matches but he did not win. He had hoped he would win and pay back the money.
“The following morning, he was not seen by his neighbours. They noticed that he was inside; they broke the door open and found his body dangling on the ceiling fan. They alerted the police, who removed his body.”
The Spokesperson of Federal Capital Territory Police Command, DSP Josephine Adeh, who confirmed the development, said an investigation was ongoing on the incident.

According to Reporters, some protesters, mostly women on Wednesday barricaded the entrance of Dowen College in Lekki area of Lagos State to protest against the death of 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni at the school.
The late student was rumoured to have been attacked by “some of his senior colleagues” for refusing to join a cult group.
His cousin – Perrison Oromoni – had gone on social media to narrate how he had died and went as far as calling out the names of his cousin’s alleged killers.
Perrison said the school called the deceased’s father, telling him that his son sustained injuries while playing football at the school.
Over 100,000 persons have also signed a petition domiciled on the Change.org platform seeking the arrest of those fingered in the incident and their swift prosecution.
In a video uploaded by BBC Pidgin on Wednesday, some protesters were seen in front of Dowen College demanding that the school authorities be held accountable for failing to protect the deceased.
They also urged security agencies to wade into the issue promptly and bring the perpetrators to book.
However, sources said police operatives who were spotted in large numbers threatened to arrest the protesters if they fail to stop.
SaharaReporters had on Tuesday reported that the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, also finally reacted to the death of Oromoni.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the governor described the incident as disturbing and heartbreaking.
He also assured the bereaved's family of his administration's commitment to ensure justice is served in the case.

"Consequently, I have ordered a comprehensive investigation into the matter. But while that is going on, I would like to give Sylvester's parents and the entire citizenry of Lagos, the assurance of my full support at this trying time.
"I share their pains and sense of loss. Indeed, words are inadequate to describe my feelings, but I pray that God Almighty will soothe their pains, and grant Sylvester Jnr eternal rest."
Seven-year-old girl, Demilade Fadare is found dead in a neighbor’s cooler days after the parents put out a missing person alert in the Adehun area of Ado Ekiti.

Ms Oluchi Sunday, mother of Dowen College student, Edward Brown, has denied his involvement in the alleged attack on Sylvester Oromoni.
Sylvester, 11, died on Tuesday, November 30, after he was allegedly attacked by some of his seniors in the school. Since his death made news, names of some students he reportedly called before he passed have been shared online.
Edward’s mum, Ms Oluchi Sunday, has released a statement denying her son’s involvement in the unfortunate incident.

It has come to my attention that some individuals caused rumours to be peddled on social media platforms suggesting that my son Edward Brown is one of the students allegedly involved in the beating of the late Sylvester Oromoni Jr at a Dowen College hostel, which resulted in his untimely death.
To set the record straight, I wish to bring the following facts to the public notice, which demonstrate that such rumours are false, malicious and lack any basis whatsoever: 1. My son is a day student and has never been a boarder.
2. Because my son is a day student, he was not on the school premises at the time when the unfortunate incident occurred, precisely on the night of 21st November, 2021, during a weekend and so, could not have been in the hostel as alleged.
3. In a social media post made on 1st November 2021, on the deceased’s elder brother’s Instagram page, “greatoromonii”, five names, including Dowen College were mentioned before the conclusion: “… just know he called your names before he died”. My son’s name was not among those names.
As a result of these false and malicious rumours, my son and I have been under constant attack via social media, with insults and threats being hurled at us daily. This has caused us much emotional distress and mental trauma.
Therefore, on behalf of myself and my son, Edward Brown, I hereby demand that managers of social media and other platforms where the false and libellous rumours are circulating, immediately retract the offending posts and tender a public apology to us.

Students of Bishop Stuart University (BSU) in Uganda have been issued new dress code guidelines that include a ban on mini skirts, ripped jeans, piercings and tattoos.
According to the notice by the university’s Dean of Students, Rev Francis Muhangi, issued on December 1, the new dressing code will apply to all students effective December 2, 2021.
The new guidelines prohibit males from putting on sandals, damaged jeans /trousers, shorts, braided/plaited hairstyles, tattoos, piercings and uncombed hair.
On the side of females, mini skirts and dresses, mini pants, damaged jeans /trousers and tattoos have been banned.
The dean warned that students who wear anything contradicting the new dress code will be prohibited from accessing the university premises.

The university’s new dress code guidelines have however, stirred a hostile reaction on social media from a section of students and Ugandans who claim the new guidelines are unfair.

The Lagos State Government has ordered the indefinite closure of Dowen College, a secondary school located in Lekki, a highbrow area of the state.
The closure of the school is a response to the controversies surrounding the death of a 12-year-old student, Sylvester Oromoni Jnr, whose parents insisted was violently abused by senior students of the school for allegedly refusing to join a “secret cult” in the school.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the state’s ministry of education on Friday and signed by an assistant director, public affairs unit of the ministry, Ganiu Lawal.
We visited Dowen College at midday, seeking an audience with Adebisi Layiwola, the elite school’s principal, who was said to be in an emergency board meeting over the issue. At the reception/lounge, parents could be seen pacing in and out to check their wards. An official engaged this reporter in a heated verbal exchange on suspicion of making secret footage as a staff member of the school chided one of the students said to have bullied his colleagues.
Officials of the education quality assurance office in Lagos emerged from the premises but declined an interview.
Five boys were alleged to have been involved in the bullying, three of whose names were mentioned online.
In an outpour, Junior’s father said:

“My son suffered. His birthday is next tomorrow (Dec 4). I’ll celebrate it. I’ll have a cake baked. I’ll cut it on his behalf. The boys they mentioned were also reported to the school last term when they bullied Junior and collected all his foodstuffs; clothes. I have two daughters, one of whom earlier graduated. I had to remove the second after this incident. They asked this boy to describe the sister’s privates and this got to us.”
Oromoni’s family said Dowen had temporarily suspended the boys involved after the family’s eldest son took it up. He said Junior was also switched to a new hostel but the bullying and intimidation persisted into the new term.

“They put fear in him so much so that, when you ask him, he might keep to himself and say, ‘they will kill me’. This way, we didn’t know what to do. I considered removing him reconsidered since his sisters were still in the school. The new incident came to my knowledge on November 21st after the school called my wife to notify us that our son was in the school clinic, injured. My senior son, who was to make a London trip, came to see us in Warri,” he said.
“The next day, we sent a family friend to help pick up our son since he was the only person in Lagos and take him to the hospital. When he got there, he panicked, pointing out that he doubts it’s a football injury as the school claimed
Court of Appeal frees Prophet Sotitobire, who was sentenced to life imprisonment over missing child
The Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, Ondo State, has set aside the judgment of the Ondo State High Court that sentenced the founder of the Sotitobire Praising Chapel.
An Ondo State High court had in October 2020, sentenced the Prophet to life imprisonment over the disappearance of a one-year-old boy, Gold Kolawole in his church in 2019.
Justice Olusegun Odusola had in his judgment convicted Sotitobire and five others, having found them guilty of the two-count charge of kidnapping and aiding and abetting to kidnap based on the circumstantial evidence presented by the prosecution.
The Sotitobire founder had asked the appeal court to nullify his life sentence conviction by the court.
The Appeal Court on Friday, December 3, ruled that the circumstantial evidence the high court based its judgment is not enough to convict him. He was therefore discharged and acquitted

A Nigerian lady has called out a hospital in Lekki, Lagos State, for allegedly abandoning her friend in labor for being rude to them.
The lady identified as @yeeeka on Twitter, took to the platform to slam the hospital for neglecting her friend for hours even though she had fully paid for their services. According to her, her friend had to go to another hospital under short notice to deliver the baby but she, unfortunately, lost the child.
She narrated the incident that transpired at the hospital and called for justice for the child.

A Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage has captured the moment a Nigerian man allegedly placed a charm at his best friend’s doorstep in Malaysia. It was gathered that the victim had been complaining of health issues, and recently he noticed the charm at his door.
Curious about how the charm got there, he decided to check a neighbor’s CCTV. To his shock, he saw that his friend was the perpetrator.
The incident reportedly happened in the Venice hill condominium in the Chera area of Malaysia. A witness who shared the video on social media revealed the man has been banished from the area.
