Following what it termed "senseless political killings in the State" a group of Youths under the aigies of Concerned Citizens of Edo State, this morning took to the streets calling for an end to the bloodbath currently being experienced in the State.

The Group carrying mock caskets and placards of various inscriptions matched through major streets in the State Capital before stopping at the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre where they poured out their grievances to Journalists.

Leader of the Group and Convener of the Protest, Mr. Tony Kabaka who spoke on behalf of the Group decried the spate of killings and tensions in the State, while calling for it to be brought to a halt.

Kabaka said "We youths of Edo state believe this is the time to put an end to this madness. Enough is enough. How many people are we going to loose before we give peace a chance. Killings everywhere. Cultists will do their own, Community crisis has killed many, now its politics.

"I wish to state that political killings will not stop development. The youths will rise up against this madness. Enough is enough", Kabaka said.

The Group then marched to Denis Osadebey avenue but didn't go in due to the Pensive mood in State House occasioned by the gruesome murder of the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Comrade Olaitan Oyerinde.
