I heard there was a king in a popular town in the east who tried to abolish osuism and talked the townsmen into marrying the osus. The villagers now told him to first lead by example nd com and see race. and till today nobody in that town has done that. IGBOs, things things dont happen elsewhere o.

poster, an outcast is a descendant of people who were chosen, maybe by choice of the rulers, or by sins/offences they commited in the olden days, to be sacrificed to idols. They are seen as slaves to the idol and they are isolated. They are like bonded to the deity, they should live within that shrine or forest where they are taken to for the offering to the deity. They dont go to market where the rest freemen go to, they dont go to farm where the rest freemen go to. even streams. Infact any contact with any other people, place or thing brings spiritual pollution and curse. We were even told that anyone who has anything to do with any of them is taken to the isolation place.  But with migration and immigration, that comes with seeking greener pastures, we mingle with everybody not knowing who is freeborn and who is outcast, until we go back to our roots during the time of marriage enquiries.

biblically, no, its not proper but traditionally, u know igbo tradition is larger than ordinary man. Just as igbo tradition has many limitations on women and it cant be questioned, even though most of them are cruel

any marriage without the blessing of the parents of either of the couple turns out to be doomed at last. If ur love is stronger than the tradition, i advise u be strong in God in order to avoid the curse of the law.But note , u must be strong in the Lord in every sense and righteous too

just like any other old tradition nd believe....
history had it dat they ran to a deity for protection during the time of persecution..
thereby devoting their loyalty to the deity...cos of dat deity's protection they became d children of d deity....under the powerful protection of the deity they became untouchables...as no one want d wrath of the gods......so it is dat same fear has continued to follow them
follow me....so the question is who wants to be a hero.
