Families, friends and relatives of the victims of the June 3rd DANA Flight 992 Crash at Iju-Ishaga came together in a candle light procession in Lagos today.

Muslim and Christian clerics who gave admonishing sermons at the event did not hide their opinions as to the cause of the tragic crash of the craft.

Pastor Itua Ighodalo of the Trinity House in his message said the crash was as a result of the criminal negligence of government and Nigerian airline officials.

NollyWood Screen star, Kate Henshaw, could not hold back her tears as she identified with the bereaved families. According to her, June 3rd  was her mother’s birthday. She was sending her mother a lovely text message when the bad news broke, spoiling her day.

The candleLight procession was further dampened by reports of suicide bombings of churches and reprisal attacks in Northern parts of the country.

Every Sunday has been Black Sunday in the last one month in Nigeria as Islamist militants strike at churches in various parts of Northern Nigeria.
