Tattoo is not demonic in itself; It is basically an artwork. If it is demonic then all our 'brothers' with tribal marks are demonic because Tattoos have served as rites of passage, marks of status and rank, symbols of religious and spiritual devotion, decorations for bravery, segxwal lures and marks of fertility, pledges of love, punishment, amulets and talismans, protection, and as the marks of outcasts, slaves and convicts. The symbolism and impact of tattoos varies in different places and cultures.

Today, people choose to be tattooed for cosmetic, sentimental/memorial, religious, and magical reasons, and to symbolize their belonging to or identification with particular groups, including criminal gangs but also a particular ethnic group or law-abiding subculture. Some Māori still choose to wear intricate moko on their faces. In Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand, the yantra tattoo is used for protection against evil and to increase luck. In the Philippines certain tribal groups believe that tattoos have magical qualities, and help to protect their bearers. Most traditional tattooing in the Philippines is related to the bearer's accomplishments in life or rank in the tribe. (Wikipedia)

The question is, you that wear a tattoo what is your motive?

Though it means different thing to diff pple, I will say that tattoo is demonic, cos its a particluar mark u use to recognise a particular group of pple, mostly secret society, and what ever u do in secret that u dnt want anyone to see in the open is a sin. so its demonic.
this is not so true.

Tatoo originated from the common tribal marks you know. Some tribes practice it up till date. The more sacred ones are inspired by cultist, then it spread to different places. Many innocent people have done it.But one bad thing is that in the future, most of them would want to deal with it.The more difficult ones need lacer operation to remove(very expensive).A lady made a tatoo with the name of her lover, but years later,  she married another guy.Up till date the tatoo is still on her.I wonder how her husband always feels about this.

TATTOO IS DEMONIC AND SINFUL IN NATURE.GOD COMMANDED US IN THE BOOK OF DEUTERONOMY THAT WE SHOULD NOT MAKE ANY MARK IN OUR BODY,THEREFORE, ANY MARK THAT IS IN SOMEONE'S BODY FOR THE SO CALLED FASHION IS DEMONIC .WE SHOULD TRY TO KEEP GOD'S WORD IN OUR HEART NOT BY HEARING OR READING IT ALONE, BUT BY APPLYING IT TO OUR DOINGS.

Tattoo making on the body to my very humble opinion and with utmost respect to peoples tastes and fashion sense I believe is not scriptural, because as a christian, there is no where in the Bible where tottoo inscription on the body is recommended ( I humbly stand to be corrected) But the bible in 1 Corinthians 6:19 says our Body is a temple of God and should not be trampled upon. Anything I believe that does not glorify God in our Spirit, Soul and Body should not be indulged in. Remember that as christians , we are in this world, but we are not of this world, so it is not every thing that the world does that we should copy.   Pr 14:12  Says There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

i don't judge people who put it on but i'll like for them to know that God is against it and said so in Leviticus 19 vs 28.

All discussion made on this so far is just an academic exercise.Tatoos origin dates back to medieval times, when people use it for two major purposes: FASHION & IDENTIFICATION purposes. In most yoruba cultures we still have some old people with tatoo marks of their days still inscribed on the bodies. They may not be as fashionable as today's tatoo because fashion is dynamic. If you care to ask some of these elders, they will tell u it was used for fashion in their time; while some will tell u it represents some form of  identification marks.Whichever purpose you choose depends on you but, never use it for the wrong purpose.
This can be likened to waist beads or necklaces, some use it for fashion while some people add a  peculiar pendants to identify with what they believe in or group they belong to (Occult or religious goup) . Some ladies use waist beads for fashion while some have gone diabolical about it.
Do we then say that waist beads is bad or good, or is necklace demonic or not? The reason for your tatoo will make it demonic or not.People who quote the holy scripture by saying no special marks must be on our body have forgoten that tribal marks are equally special marks just like tatoo. Please be wise as the holy scripture says. Your action shall be judged according to your intentions. Youths of today should use whatever they have to promote our Naija culture and not identify with any occult group.
