Tunde Bakare is a disappointment and set-back to Christianity and all that the gospel stands for..... It's too bad for a man of his caliber to make such a derogatory remark about a serving President of his country..... The word of God says "........ Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people" (Acts.23:5)..... If Jonathan was shoe-less and it pleased the Lord to raise him and make him the President of Nigeria how that become a topic of Bakare's sermon after all the bible says "  He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. "For the foundations of the earth are the LORD's; upon them he has set the world", i think Bakare is supposed to have come across that in the same bible he claims to be preaching....Am not President Jonathan"s fan but i feel the man needs the support of all well-meaning Nigerians considering the challenges before ....... Am convinced that even Barack Obama of USA would find it difficult to deliver if faced with such challenges.......... as for Patience taking the position of permanent secretary if Bakare feels it's unconstitutional he should challenge it in the court of law instead of desecrating the pulpit and polluting the minds of innocent worshipers in the name of preaching.

Mr. Bakare is entitled to his opinion like any other fellow citizen. Dish that god dam bible.

I am flabbergasted if not bamboozled' at Pastor Bakare's impression and commentory towards President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Patience. If autonomy is the answer to the on going devastating menace in the country, I think anyone who claims wisdom, let alone
preachers of God's ministry, should be the ones to welcome the idea.

The Ogoni's have every right to claim a republic if they chose, since the central body has brought nothing but disadvantages to the people of ogoni and pains to Nigerians. For fairness" it's good news, time to look beyond Oil & gas, to concentrate on other aspects of life and developement.

I personally welcome and encourage other ethnic groups to follow similar action.

Secession is not the answer to our problems. Isaac Adaka Boro (RIP) would attest to this. The problem is the government. You have 36 states right now and they are not viable not to talk about 36 republics in Nigeria. Some politicians are now even demanding more states.. Mr. Bakare is entitled to his opinion like any other fellow citizen. Let common sense prevail….

I'M SORRY BUT I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT SOME PEOPLE ARE SAYING. SO YOU MEAN BECAUSE HE IS A PASTOR, HE SHOULD NOT SAY THE TRUTH?.. WHAT IS WRONG WITH NIGERIANS!!! IT SEEMS TO ME AS THOUGH RELIGION HAS ROBBED THE AVERAGE NIGERIAN OF HIS ABILITY TO THINK. READ YOUR BIBLE, PEOPLE WITHSTOOD THE ORDER OF THE DAY IN BIBLE TIMES, WHY DID YOU THINK THEY WANTED TO KILL ELIJAH. THE REASON NIGERIA IS NOT MOVING FORWARD IS BECAUSE NIGERIANS TAKE EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS AS AN ACT OF GOD WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING THE BOOK OF JOB THEY ARE QUOTING IN THE FIRST INSTANCE. NIGERIANS DONT DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY FROM THEIR LEADERS. LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, IF BISHOP OYEDEPO, PASTOR ADEBOYE AND SAY PASTOR CHRIS TAKE JUST ONE MONTH TO TALK ABOUT THE ISSUES AFFACTING NIGERIA, THEN THE GOVERNMENT WILL KNOW SOMETHING IS REALLY WRONG. THEY WILL ACT. I HAVE NEVER ATTENDED LATTER RAIN BUT ATLEAST HE IS CONCERNED ABOUT HIS MEMBERS' WELFARE; NOT JUST INTERESTED IN THEIR MONEY. PLEASE TELL ME A SINGLE POLICY JONATHAN HAS IMPLEMENTED SINCE HIS ASCENDANCY TO POWER. LISTEN..
