strategically it is sound, china has almost 20% of the world population and is the 2nd biggest economy in the world and blessed with immense
raw materials/resources. though french is still relevant, but in the coming years being able to speak chinese will give a distinct advantage in business and job prospect.
the UK has taken similar step to introduce the language in their curricular from 2014 or there about. even most shops in the UK like debenhams now require their staffs to be fluent in mandarin

not bad, some schools speak Chinese but it should never be imposed on Nigerians. I am sure of one thing, majority of those that will learn it, will learn it for fun.

Are they teaching Igbo, Efik, Yoruba, Hausa, Edo, Kanuri etc in China or any other country? If any parent wants their children to learn Chinese that’s their biz let them pay for it but it should not be included in the curriculum. We should be teaching these kids about our history,  culture, religion, etc and how to learn other languages in Nigeria apart from their original mother tongue. We can’t even write and speak our own language properly. Dangote should hire all these politicians as drivers or they be sent to a mental hospital nearby. They are mad......When are we going to be free?

Its Good to Learn Chinese For Tommorrow Back in The school We are to learn french And We allways Say is not our langauge and look about tommorrow when i travel i see french is Important You dont know where You gonna be tommorrow so Its Better for them to take time and learn it cos China and Japan and They Best Techology country in the world so far...I am learn chinese and I also love to speak it..
