If actually the woman committed the crime.... she no try at all and she must not go free....as for the dead.... if it was your wife that did this... i must say that you contributed to your death because after you went through the first trial by food poison and succeeded it... you supposed to stay away from that evil woman completely and run for your life...RIP anyway... only God knows what happened.....
