WTF: Kano State Government Spends N1.7 Billion On Sallah Rams

The Kano State Govt has released N1.7 billion for the payment of ram bonus to its civil servants to celebrate Sallah.



State civil servants - N520 million worth of Ram.
State LGA Workers - N410 million worth of Ram.
Primary Education Board - N847 million worth of Ram.

All the Rams will be purchased, slaughtered and eaten within 26-27th of October, 2012. This implies that about 22% of the states Federal allocation for the month will be spent in a few hours.
