Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Thursday arrested eight suspected drug traffickers for allegedly smuggling about 10.635 kilogrammes of narcotics at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, (MMIA)Lagos.

Amongst the drug suspects apprehended was one Mr. Tembo Gideon aka Benson Okechukwu who was travelling to Thailand with about 2.522kilogrammes of methamphetamine tactically hidden inside local fabrics called Aso-Oke.

Speaking on the arrest, the NDLEA commander at the Lagos Airport, Mr Hamza Umar pointed out that the suspects were arrested with various kind of drugs ranging from cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin among others.

According to Umar, the breakdown of drugs recovered included 4.460kilogrammes of methamphetamine, 4.030kilogrammes of heroin and 2.145kilogrammes of cocaine. Apart from one of the suspects caught attempting to smuggle 3.455kilogrammes of heroin from India, others were going outside the country with different quantities of drugs”

Meanwhile, Chairman of the NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade in his Sallah message urged members of the public to desist from smuggling drugs and criminal acts capable of truncating their God ordained destinies.

“It is sad that these suspected drug traffickers are behind bars when they ought to be with their families this festive season. Drug trafficking and other criminal acts will only lead to misery, shame and unfulfilled dreams” Giade said.

The suspects are Onyekwere Wisdom Chinedu, 26years; Obinna Christian Chigbo, 37years; Muogbo Uchechukwu Sixtius, 25years; Tembo Gideon aka Benson Okechukwu, 25years and Orabusinze Chukwuka Joseph, 28years. Others are Ogbonnaya Kalu Robert, 54years; Obiorah Celestine Nonso, 31years and Udeh Lazarus Makwe, 44years.

Sorry oh my compatroits!, you aren't born to be drug fraffickers nor desired to be adressed as drug traffickers, even to be televised publically as law-brakers!. In the early 80s when there was jobs and social bennefits in Nigerian system of govt, when there was fearing leaders in our nation, whose then knew what drug was allabout?. Am a Nigerian, i knew how i suffered when i was living there!, i knows what it take to be IDLE living without job, parental help or gorvernmental help!, i knows what it means when a grown up guy looks around and sees no help while his pucket runs dry!, i knows what it means when other opportuned guys are doing well in their jobs, businesses and have enough it their puckets while unfortunate ones remain IDLE no hope for a better future!, i knows how they felt as youths without help, idle and stranded in their own country!, i knows how sad they becomes seeing those corrupt political leaders embezzlling our public money, they are living in mega buildings, riding their luxury cars, grooving with the most beautiful babes in town while my IDLE compatroits are there swallowing their slivers and ragging for their daily bread, i know how they felt finishing their educational carriers while those ''old naughty-corrupt-bald-heads''normally known as Nigerian leaders never quit or retire in their office just to create chances for the younger ones!. They grows too old to handle their duties but they never give ways for the younger ones to breathe lively!. An IDLE mind is a devil workshop ''yes'' it is 100 percent true!. Nigerian justice department can quickly pronouce jail term on these guys as drug traffickers ''yes' the justice department can be right, but what about those embezzllers known as ''leaders of the federation of Nigeria'' who are the cause in the increase of criminal activities that are growing everyday in our society......Huh?. I wish a RADICAL leader to be born who will chase these Naughty-Bald-Heads'' away and give HOPE to every citizen of our nation!!!.
