i can as well decide to answer "only" my husband's name... or i can also compromise for keeping d two... my father and husband's name. I'll have my husband's complete understanding and blessings. indeed this "thing" of to switch or not to switch' will not in any way affect our love and respect for each other...
u sound more like a broken record... wen u decide to leave ur father nd mother to spend d rest of ur entire life wit a man... there's r certain procedures dat hv to follow before dat happens.... those things r last rites to fully cut off any link wit u nd ur biological family...then transfer nd intergret u wit ur new family via matrimony.... dat automatically severs any link btw u nd ur biological family....nd automatically becomes a visitor in ur father's house......kappish! oh well! i guess its vice versa...u sound more like a broken record...i'm only tryin to make sense out of ur NONsense

well i feel them cuz to me.... my last name shows d pride my father has in me. It shows that who ever I become in life, is due to him and not my husband..... If I am successful in life, why shouldn't my dad take glory for part of that success? Why is my husband taking credit for something he did not do? A woman grows up all her life with her given name. She establishes a work history with her given name. She also has business acquaintances and friends that know who she is by her given name. why should she bury everything just bcuz she wanna marry d man she loves

I have a friend who comes from where a married woman is not allow to call her husband's first name or surname, instead the guys parents has a special nick name for him, the one the wife can call him. So in doing that, the married women don't change their names after marriage. Even though they're leaving here in Sweden, the husband doesn't care, the lady calls his name but will not change her name.
