I believe in speaking in tongues! If the Bible said it, then it is true. Search the scriptures for yourself on how to receive the gift which will do you alot of good as a christian.

Speaking in tongues goes with the lead of the Holy Spirit. And as recorded by the Bible, when the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles, they spoke in "tongues of men" and the people that came from far countries, that are there to buy and sell, the apostles lead by the Holy Spirit spoke in their various languages and they understood them. That's how the Bible recorded the 1st event of tongue speaking.
So I don't think speaking in tongue(s) is Constantly repeating a particular word or words several times over. Instead, I think it's better one says their prayers in their own language or one that the major would comprehend.
