World’s oldest pupil dies at 90

Durban: An elderly Kenyan man, who created history as the world’s oldest pupil when he joined a primary school seven years ago, has died in capital Nairobi, after a prolonged illness. He was 90. Maruge, an unlettered great-grandfather, was awarded a Guinness Book of World Records entry as the oldest man ever to start primary school at the age of 84.
