GOBE! Samuel Etoo Is Not 35, He Is Actually 39 Yrs Old - Ex Girlfriend

A week after Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho said he thinks one of his players Samuel Eto'o is older than 32, his ex Anna Barranca has spoken out saying Eto'o is way older than 32.

   "The problem with Chelsea is I lack a scorer. I have Eto’o but he is 32 years old, maybe 35, who knows?’ Mourinho said in a private conversation but it was secretly recorded and published on a sports website. It has since been taken down.

Now Eto'o's former lover, Anna Barranca, who is 43years old and has an 11year old daughter, Annie,  with the footballer said he's not 35, but 39 going on 40.

The Italian hairdresser told The Sun UK today "I think Samuel is not 35 he is more 39. Samuel was born in 1974 and so that makes him 39 now.' She claims she was informed of Eto'o's true age when they were dating by a friend who grew up with Eto'o in Cameroon.

Is it that Africans LIE about their date of birth or is the problem of their parents failing to register their new born babies at birth? The literacy rate in Africa is very low and we should remember that for example the National Population Commission (where births are registered) only came inti existence in Nigeria in the 1980's.

So prior to this there were hardly (if any) birth certificates- except maybe among the educated who noted it down on a piece of paper.

So now those footballers and others in the entertsinment industry in need of a passport quote a date of birth that will keep them sounding young and in their job.After all the people at NPC registering their birth were not there when they were born - and that may explain why they demand a bribe before issuing a NPC certificate!

And then we have those who do know their true date of birth BUT lie anyway. Especially as the younger you are the bigger the possibility of being granted a visa!

So it is difficult especially when you see someone you have known from years back , maybe you grew up in the same town or village - taking 10 years of their age in order to stay in their job!!!
