The 'Behold, the long epistles are back' phrase,was to convey the msg that you are going to be doling out your epistles for several days to come.In other words, we are gonna be getting a lot more of the epistles from you. Therefore, it was a present continuous tense. For example, in the case of season movies, we say 'the episodes are back'.
I don't need to ask you about the schools you attended,or in what hell hole they are. You are already stacking ur cards on the table,that the whole world can see,and they are in a pretty ugly situation.

Now, listen up bitch and learn, let me elaborate on the example that you gave with season movies "The episodes are back" There is what they call Production in season movies and there are three parts in a production: pre-production, production, and post-production.  You can check the meanings of these if you don't know cuz i wouldn't want to go into all that for now 

A season movies go through all these processes b4 the films are shown in cinemas and finally b4 the DVDs of the whole season(which is divided into episodes) gets released hence the term "The episodes are back".  Let me break down once again for the Yeroba  morons, a season movie contains diff. episodes already there, done and dusted ( more than one episode) which is why the term "The episodes are back" is used meaning the diff. episodes are there already and not basing it on assumptions bc it's not a live production! Whereas the case of me and her is more like "a live production"  one at a time  which means there's no guaranty that it will have more than one episode at the time at least, so i ask again why the plural on sth that hasn't happened more than once, you dunce!
A few examples of season movies that Nigerians are crazy about includes "One tree hill", "Merlin", "Prison break" etc .
