Lagos PDP tells Oba Akiolu: “You have desecrated your stool”

The Lagos State PDP has come out strongly to condemn the attitude and pronouncement of Oba Rilwan Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos, at the book
launch ceremony for Akin Ambode, the annointed Governorship candidate by Bola Tinubu.

In a show of shame and attempt to support the wish of Tinubu, the oba reportedly endorsed Akin Ambode as the next “befitting” Governor of Lagos State after Fashola. “In a very undemocratic manner,the Oba went further to berate other aspirants for the Office ‘counselling’ them to conceed to Akin Ambode”

“Now that Oba Akiolu has openly manifested his partisanship and favouritism for a Party and aspirant, we have no choice but to call the Oba to Order.
The oba’s action is regrettable and very unbecoming of a Ruler expected to be a father for all. His decision to openly descend into the murky waters of partisan politics has unequivocally confirmed him as not fit and proper to be a Ruler, talkless of Oba of Lagos.
He must therefore apologise to Lagosians and publicly retract the endorsement of Akin Ambode within Seven Days.”


The Lagos State PDP further accused the Oba of vindicating the party’s accusation that his Palace and some other palaces have always been used to rig elections in the Past, vowing that any palace used to Rig in the coming elections and the Riggers will Actually be roasted.
