Does marriage makes a man responsible?

Some people like to say to unmarried man that he is not a responsible man. Is this ever true? Is marriage a standard for being responsible?

i believe dat respnsibility starts 4rm family, if 1 is rseponsible in his family,probably he will be responsible as a family man. an advice, children should nt joke with their house duties b/c dat's where 1 builds up his/her responsibility

IT IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE A MAN RESPONSIBLE, BUT IT DOESN'T NECESSARILY MAKE THEM

i think the reason why people say married men are responsible is because they have family responsibilies to put up with and not in the normal sense of being RESPONSIBLE. In cases where married men still go around having extra marrital affairs, will you still call that being RESPONSIBLE?
just as you'll find responsible and irresponsible married men
you'll find responsible and irresponsible singles
so the fact that you're not married doesn't mean you're irresponsible.

it makes some responsible, while it makes others more foolish than they were b4 they got married.
