Newly Designed N100 Note To Be Launched On Wednesday

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan will on Wednesday launch the newly designed  N100 bank note by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The money is designed to commemorate the centenary anniversary of Nigeria as one.

A statement by the CBN on Monday in Abuja said that the commemorative note was part of the CBN’s contribution to the Centenary celebration, which is in line with its mandate of issuing legal tender currency in Nigeria.

“The choice of the N100 denomination is to mark the centenary celebration of Nigeria and is consistent with best global practices for Central Banks around the world during the celebration of national events.

“Part of the features of the commemorative banknote is the inscription of the theme of the centenary celebration: ‘One Nigeria, Great Promise as a micro-text.

“While retaining the portrait of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo on the front, the new note features Nigerian traditional dancers at the back. The commemorative note comes in different dominant colours,” the CBN said.

According to the statement, the new note is also designed to incorporate additional security features for digital communication, protection against counterfeiting, tolerance to the tropics and ease of recognition of genuineness.

@dynasty4all u av also forgotten dat  at one point in time all d governors under dis party were xtain. oyo, ogun, ondo, ekiti, osun and edo. All btw 2003 till date. Pls don't let argue on dis cus it will not take us forward. If u av said dat d people dat r holding dat post av been in power for a long time I would av agreed wit u so dat we d youth of dis great nation can stand up and fight d old ones out rather than wasting ur time on Muslim holding all d power in apc. Let me tell u dis sect of pple (BH) they gain power day by day, in wat way is dat comment of yours will be helpful to d govt.
