Viral Video Of Police Officer And A Man Struggling For The Steering Wheel Of A Benz

A video has captured a police officer struggling for the steering wheel of a Mercedez Benz with a driver who was in motion in Ughelli, Delta state. It appeared the officer had stopped the young man driving the car alongside his friends but he refused to oblige. The driver continued to move the vehicle with the officer hanging on the door while begging to be dropped. When the young man stopped for the officer to drop, he refused and still demanded that the driver hand him the car keys.

He is a disgrace to the uniform he wore. He must be investigated promptly and removed from duty. Also, these officers needs to be better trained and provided with tools to immobilise potential criminals, if they have good reasons to be suspicious of him. A simple nail stinger on the road would have immobilised him in short order, without risking the lives of passengers or other road users.
