Do you support or are you against abortion? (Page 4)

just like u said..when u feel that baby moving inside of you for that long, u become attached. So whether the child is malformed or whatever the case might be...you're still gonna keep the baby because you have loved and felt this child inside of you.........Now there are cases where ppl would want to abort an unhealthy baby, but choses to keep them because of the money they will be receiving from the state for the child's handicap..if anyone feels that they're going to abort a baby because it has got some type of illness, then i think you're better off giving them up for adoption rather than killing it...he/she will or may become angry with u later in life, but at least will appreciate the fact that u gave them a chance at life...................and someone to have that life that they're unable to achieve on their own.

Abortion in it self is bad. It should not necessarily be a way out and should be discouraged. What interest me in this topic is the way everybody here discredits abortion and i begin to wonder why it is still happening. Is it that people don't practice what they preach or are just being pruddish?

It will be great if this discourse is accessed wholistically, from every point of view and not necessarily from a religious one as Nigerians are said to be religious but not true to their words in most cases. Not everybody is religious or even believe in a supreme being and am sure if this discourse is hosted on another forum like Facebook we will have lots of varying opinions with strong and valid points.

let me start by definition,An abortion is a procedure to end a pregnancy. It uses medicine or surgery to remove the embryo or fetus and placenta from the uterus.in my opinion she is killing a baby. you are even more guilty than the doctor performing the procedure,Well.... ...you are losing an innocent baby/child...... and may regret it later because you might realize you killed a baby for no reason.it can mess up your ability to have any more children when you decide it's time or you're read.Abortion is cold-blooded murder,please stay away my sister.

c,mon now n lets all b realistic, morality is actually based on point of view. i'd rather spare d baby the trials n temptations which throw up the options of abortion than have a grown man or woman hunting me 4 my past mistakes n his/her messed up life. its hard but life bites even harder n reasons and rationality guide our every decisions. trust me the baby's going to apprciate ur good intentions and the rationale behind ur actions. he'd smile at u from heaven.

People are fund of sitting on their high pedestal while judging others but do not put themselves in other peoples shoes. i am of the view that it depends on the circumstances. the issue at hand should be that before u engage ur self in pre marital sex u should be able to stand on ur own and possibly be able to take care of a child. imagine one who is not financially, emotionally stable and who as no ones help and support having a child u r practically ruining the childs life even b4 birth. i know of someone whose child died becos she had no ones support not even are parent or the childs father and the child was sick, and there was no money to pay for hospital bills the child died in pains. other circumstance i cant begin to write. so we should try and be objective before taking a stance in this matter, the issue should be when should one start being segxwally active
