
One of Nollywood giants has marked another milestone.
Pete Edochie celebrated his 68th birthday on March 7th 2015. Born in Enugu State, Nigeria, Pete completed his Primary and Secondary in Zaria, Kaduna State. Later, he proceeded to England to further his education in the mid 60’s. He did a course in Journalism and Television in School of Journalism and Television. He came into limelight in the 1980s when he played the lead role of Okonkwo in an NTA adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s all time bestselling novel, “Things Fall Apart”.
Some of his movies are: Evil men, Igodo, Narrow Escape, Battle Line, Billionaires Club, Dogs Meeting, No More War, Secret Pain, just to mention but a few. He has been given several awards and National honors. He is married with children among whom are Yul and Linc Edochie both actors, and recently lost his nephew Muna Obiekwe.
