Please dear forumites, this unfortunate development is not a reason to start venting out tribal and religious sentiments. The fact that the guy is from the north or a Muslim does not mean that we should start castigating his religion or tribe. He is just a religious fanatic or fundamentalist and I am sure that an overwhelming majority of Muslims do not support his action. Also bear in mind that, even though it can be argued that Muslims are more prone to it, we also have our own extremists in Christianity like the pastors killing "child witches" in Calabar area. What we should speak against is religious fanaticism and not against Islam as a religion.
