Manchester City stormed back to the top of the Premier League, with a comprehensive 3-0 battering of champions, Chelseaon Sunday.

Sergio Aguero, who was denied three times in the opening exchanges, put his side ahead with a composed finish. Vincent Kompany continued his good start to the season, with a towering header to double their advantage.

As the Blues continued to pour forward in search of an equalizer, Fernandinho latched on a loose Cesc Fabregas pass and slammed home the third.

City are now five points ahead of Chelsea.

In the first game of the day, Arsenal battled to a 2-1 win away at Crystal Palace, to record their first win of the season.
