The Akwa Ibom State Police Command on Tuesday paraded an 18-year-old boy, Endurance Akpan, who was accused of murdering his own mother, Lovina Akpan, in cold blood over a purported quarrel between the victim and his (Endurance’s) dad.
It was gathered that the sad incident occurred in Idio Nung Iba Village, Etin Ekpo Local Government Area of the state.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Cordelia Nwawe, an assistant Superintendent of Police, said the suspect committed the crime after returning from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he had gone to live with his father who had been separated from the victim at the time of the incident. Nwawe said the suspect was able to perpetrate his crime using trickery and deceit.
“He told her that he had something important to discuss with her. As they got to the room where Endurance had tricked her into, he (Endurance) tied his mother’s hands to her neck with a wrapper and strangulated her to death.
“After she died, he pulled her out of the room and took her close to a pit toilet within the compound and dumped her there and thereafter left for Port Harcourt, where he was arrested,” the PRO stressed.
The suspect is expected to be charged to court at the conclusion of investigation into the matter.

This boy was really a devil, how can he think of killing of his mother, for what reason nw. perhaps its was his father that tell the boy to do such a thing. wicked world sha.
