‘I am Studying in the US’, Obanikoro

Nigeria’s former High Commissioner to Ghana and two- time minister under former President Jonathan, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has responded to rumours making the rounds that he is in hiding from being investigated by Nigerian anti-graft officials. Taking to his verified Twitter page on Tuesday, Obanikoro blasted Sahara Reporters for involving his family in what he described as a dirty campaign of calumny and pure blackmail. Obanikoro was speaking in reference to the allegation that he purchased a house in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States. Investigations by SIGNAL confirm that the house in question belongs to Obanikoro’s second son Gbolahan Ayotunde Obanikoro and his wife, Adeola Olopade Obanikoro. Gbolahan Obanikoro, the CEO of MOB Integrated Services Ltd – an oil and gas firm is said to be doing well for himself. His wife is also from a well- known industrious and aristocratic background.
