A private driver has been reported to have robbed the home of his employer 4 days after he was employed.
Mr Kolawole Atoyebi, 32, had been employed by a Mrs Beatrice Nwaokun,as a private driver.Following his employment on December 29, Mr Atoyebi had reportedly duplicated the keys to the 4 bedroom flat, allowing him to enter the house as he pleased.He had allegedly made away with N385,000, which had been kept in Mrs Nwaokun's bedroom.
According to the reports, Mrs Nwaokun had reported the case to the police at the Ikotun division as soon as she had noticed that the money had gone missing. Following the report lodged against Mr Atoyebi, the culprit was apprehended and duplicate keys found in his possession. Mr Atoyebi confessed to his crimes, pleading for time to refund the stolen money.
He has now been charged to court on a 3-counts criminal charge of breach of peace over the key duplication, infringement of Mrs Nwaokun's privacy and stealing, under the criminal code.
