Chief Mike Okiro the Chairman of the Police Service Commission had probably been on twitter lately and saw how Nigerians lashed out at police officers doing domestic duties, especially the last one who carried a handbag for madam. So yesterday at a press conference in Abuja, Chief Okiro warned Police officers on escort duties with Very Important Persons to desist from carrying handbags and engaging in other domestic duties for VIPs they are attached to calling it an insult to the Police uniform and the Nigeria Police Force as a whole. Okiro also said the commission would henceforth arrest police operatives on illegal escort duty, adding that its workers would soon be deployed in airports and on the highways to apprehend errant policemen.

Pay them well and you wouldn't ask them to stop before they do. These officers are suffering and can do anything to take care of their families.

THAT IS NOT AN EXCUSS, NOT PAYING THEM WELL THOSE NOT MEANS THEY SHOULD BE DOING ILLEGAL WORK. THEY SHOULD STOP ALL THAT RUBBISH BECZ ITS REALLY TERMINATING THE IMAGE OF NIGERIAN POLICE.

Man dont be that naive ....... Any police officer who believe he need more pay to be a good officer should live the force and look for a job somewhere else so that those who believe the pay is ok can do their job......By the way do anybody force them to join the police. Abi them no no ow much them the pay before they join.
