Sefi Atta is winner of the Wole Soyinka (‘s) Prize for Literature in Africa and winner of the Noma Award for Publishing in Africa.In this book Atta has us follow the life of Enitan, a young woman who was born the year her country, Nigeria, gained independence.
Through her life we see the changes the country faces as well as the typical struggles of coming into ones own, wherever one may live.
