The unnamed FRSC official being manhandled on the street
An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps had a taste of mob action treatment in the line of duty around Jibowu area today, 3rd of July, 2016.
An FRSC official was close to being lynched at the volatile Jibowu area of Lagos state as residents prepared for church this morning. According to an eye witness who reported the anomaly on social media, an angry mob pounced on him after accusing him of causing an accident in the area.
The details of the accident were not given by the reporter as well as the well being of the law enforcement agent in the course of being manhandled.
Read the words of eye witness below:
Quote
"On my way to church this morning, I witnessed a hot chase of a FRSC officer by some men. They eventually caught up with him at Jibowu and he was severely brutalized. He's alleged to have caused an accident while trying to flag a motorist down."
Jungle justice has become prominent in the Nigerian society despite several means by the government to discourage the act.

Do you think it is proper to rough handle a uniformed personnel, irrespective of his/her misdeed?
I have been reporting for several years now and I am very interested in visual news reportage with strong inclusion of photos and video multimedia.

This is very wrong. A government officials, married man, father...pls I think these people should undergo some training every quaternary or something. Government. pls look into this. And also provide training for government officers every 3 months. It's necessary.

I'm not sure they did any training. How many of them can do CPR? Which FRSC division in any state patrols the roads to place warning signs for road users to show potential dangers on the roads and bad spots to watch out for?
Its only when there's an accident you'll see them patrolling up and down.

I have never seen an FRSC officer working on d road alone wit his colleague and their van so they shld ask dat man to know if he is fake or real. As for d jungle justice, I don't support it but pple like dis deserve whatever if he truly cause dat accident.
