He replied exactly BUT lets leave that for now and let the court decide.  Omoo I read Law for some years before leaving law for something else.  You answer indicated that you stole the phone but you are denying hoping the court will prove the other part wrong.  If seriously you didn't steal no phone then your answer would have being " I didn't steal any phone, it's a mere rumor" that's Just my opinion
