Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has pledged allegiance with the Biafra cause and claimed the state is now part of Biafra. Fayose declared this during the bail hearing of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, at the Federal High Court that sat in Abuja on Tuesday. “Ekiti State is now part of Biafra,” he declared. This is the first time Fayose is openly showing support for the movement, which is agitating for a breakaway of the South-East from the Nigeria.

Unfortunately, many didn’t understand Fayose gesture, he was speaking indirect to agitating his not saying Ekiti will follow Biafra but support the motion for Nigeria to break.

@showskill: you are absolutely correct!! This governor is smarter than many people give him. "Biafra" itself is a "course" and that is what Governor Fayose is supporting, and pledges support by Ekiti State. As a dynamic and fearless person, he supports the course for human freedom, peace, less oppression, less violation of court orders, and less antagonism of any group of people in a country they call their own. That is the irony of his speech and support.
