Super Eagles goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi brushed away the disappointment of their 2-0 home loss to South Africa to wed his partner in Lagos.

Akpeyi was between the post when the Bafana Bafana shocked the Super Eagles in Uyo in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.

He, however, brushed away the disappointment of that defeat to tie the knot with his partner Pretty Emmanuella in a quiet ceremony in Lagos.


The Chippa United of South Africa goalkeeper and Emmanuella tied the knot in a quiet court wedding.

The couple had earlier in December 2016 held an elaborate traditional wedding ceremony in Abia State.
