In recent times, the conversation about Nigerian pastors/churches owning private jets became more intense, as well as the discourse on whether Christians should give tithes or not.

On the one hand is the group saying pastors should not own private jets, adding that they are using church funds (tithes and offerings) to maintain their “luxurious lifestyle,” hence Christians should not “give tithes to pastors” but help the poor and needy around them. Another group says tithing is a personal decision and people should be left to spend their money how they deem fit.

Some other people are indifferent and some share some of the sentiments of both groups above.

In a video that has surfaced on social media recently, Bishop David Oyedepo, Senior Pastor of Living Faith Church (LFC) Worldwide a.k.a Winners Chapel, speaking during a church service has cautioned persons attacking pastors for owning private jets saying “you better control your jealousy”. “We have been flying jest before you went to school,” he adds.

Speaking “against the church of Christ is a risk…. The church is the most value-adding institution in Nigeria,” he says

In the days of the apostles they preach all over the countries they can afford to go either by boat or walking or some other cheap way. Any money contributed in the church is for the less privileged, they help each other but church in the 21st century want private jet, auditorium that will contain 500000 people, universities and more without less privileged in their heart. Missionaries are still all over the world from some white churches helping Africans and  other countries, in these churches you won't see their pastor with a private jet and they built no universities. Their priority is to help people in need. All these our pastors need to repent and give their life to Jesus truly and help the poor with money that will buy private jet. Please God help your servants.

Does he have an earring on his ear or is it a hearing aid? And what does he mean by "you better"? Nigerian are no longer afraid of threats from fake pastors whose heaven is already here on earth.

Very correct. In fact they need to re-dedicate their life to God and be baptized again by one of their followers.

The most corrupt and thief pastors are mostly the loudest. You only hear them speak like this ONLY when it concerned money. Just as Benin people going to Libya inspite of happenings there, so are followers of these fake corrupt churches. SO DUMB!

Pastors are the major problem of the South South during election, They claim the vote for God and not human beings the will all stay away from voting,
The northerners   Moslem campaign for their presidential candidate even during their prayer sections,
