Not all men, for me, it will make me love and have faith in her, and as well helps me understand the real person her. I graduated from the school of thought that sees past to be past, as it  has no effects on our future lives

Look this matter must not be perceived with a general template. You may say it when the relation is fresh and both would laugh about it. Subsequently though, tis same revelations become potent weapon in the mind of your spouse, especially in the trying days of your marriage. I have clsoe friends of mine who suffered from such experiences. The past is always your past if it does not have a reminder stamp like a child on it. Lol
