Yesterday, my friend and I happened on a topic which I found very disturbing.  We were prompted by a young pregnant lady with two malnourished kids.  These two kids were sparsely spaced, same with the unborn child.  The lady herself wasnt looking healthy, she needed some rest from the last pregnancy but here she was pregnant again.

So I was wondering why they couldnt space their kids.  My friend told me that a lot of men wont use condom with their wives.  She gave me various real life examples, saying that those men said that after using condom with their mistresses, why would they use condom with their own wives! I went ahead to argue asking: why wont my husband use condom in other to help protect me?  Isnt their refusal to use condom one of the reasons we have so many abortion amongst married couples?  Isnt their refusal selfish?

My question:

As a man, would you refuse to use condom with your wife, especially if that would help in spacing your child and helping your wife health wise?  And why do some men refuse to use it with their wives?

As a woman, how would you convince your husband to wear condom without seeming to cause problem in the home? (My friend told me I was just making noise, that the men would not bulge).....

And generally, isnt it the duty of both partners to ensure that their kids are well spaced?

Good topic!
It sends to the other topic of yours, about things which should be taken in consideration before marriage!
Nowadays, modern couples are planning the born of their children, taking in consideration their priorities
and their real possibilities.
If a man is thinking only at his own satisfaction, he can't reason right!

thank you for this question cos it has been on my mind for long, on why will only the woman take the pains of child spacing by subjecting herself to all kinds of dangerous pills for contraception, coils in the womb, injections,,abortion etc while it will only take the man just to use a condom. For me i wont subject myself to any harsh measure all in the name of child spacing or prevention, the man have 2 play along by using condom.

There are other birth control measures, which in combination stand as effective alternatives to the use of condoms.

They require more discipline, and like condoms take away a fair share of the pleasures in going bare for both the man and the wife.

I'd embrace the use of condoms with my wife as a birth control measure but I have other tricks up my sleeves which if we work with it will give both of us pleasure in rest of mind.

Guys make una go dey try read. Girls Mills and Boom no be holy grail.

Hmm my dear i get u...Let us not forget there r a lot of types of protection not only condoms...in a marriage life, or even if a woman is single the same way she suppose to protect herself...there r family planning...women has a lot type of protection which dey can use, as dey know usually men dont prefer to wear condom.....i can say till u r single and get bf even if u protect yaself against pregnancy never u allow ya bf to touch u without condom cause of the lot types of sicknesses...but when u r married, u can sit down and make a decision with ya husband together which protection is the best for u both.there r medicines u have to take daily or implant which is good for 3 years is deepens on u both planning.

Selfishness!........no one said you should use it all the time, but if your wife thinks it is her danger period and she could get pregnant, why wont you use the simple birth control measure called condom?.......you guys pay money and meet prostitutes out there and I hear they mostly demand you use condom, so why wont you do so if that means to protect your wife without negative side effects?

Oooo plz you can still space a child without using condom or brith control...our grandparents did use condom or birth control to space their children.even they don't know nothing about condom and birth control, inshort they weren't even invented...

Spacing a child I think is a something the both couple have to discuess about and agree to  it.
When the both are doing it raw,the man know when he want to cum or when the semen is coming.so he can release it outside instead of inside her.

This is another method,I think after sex they woman should getup immediately so the semen can flow out.it takes 30mins or more for semen to travel to her ovum or ovaries.
