33-year-old Man Arrested For Allegedly Defiling A 7-year-old Girl In Ogun

Men of Ogun State Police Command have arrested Olabowale Samuel, 33, for having unlawful carnal knowledge of a seven-year-old girl.

The suspect was arrested following a report by the father of the victim who complained at Sagamu Police Station that he came back from work in the evening of 4th October, only to discover that his daughter’s pant was stained with blood.

On inquiry, the daughter informed him that it was the suspect who lived in the next building that lured her into his room and s-xually abused her.

The victim, whose mother has separated from the father was left in care of the neighbour in the house who did not know the time when the suspect lured her to his house.

On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the commission of the crime.

Meanwhile, the victim has been taken to the general hospital for medical treatment.

Also the Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.

When are we going to take this crime seriously???if we cant pronounce death penalty for such animals, can't they atleast get 40years in prison???
