According to medical experts, even occasional smoking of marijuana can increase your risk for more severe complications from Covid-19.

According to medical professionals and pulmonary experts, marijuana/weed smokers, people with Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other chronic lung diseases, as well as people with moderate to severe asthma are among those at high risk for severe complications after contracting Coronavirus.

"What happens to your airways when you smoke cannabis is that it causes some degree of inflammation, very similar to bronchitis, very similar to the type of inflammation that cigarette smoking can cause," said pulmonologist Dr. Albert Rizzo, chief medical officer for the American Lung Association to CNN.

"Now you have some airway inflammation and you get an infection on top of it. So, yes, your chance of getting more complications is there."

According to Dr. Mitchell Glass, a spokesperson for the American Lung Association, making it more difficult for a doctor to diagnose your symptoms is not what someone will wish on himself during a pandemic.

"Covid-19 is a pulmonary disease," Glass said. "Do you really want to have a confounding variable if you need to see a doctor or a healthcare worker by saying, 'Oh, and by the way, I'm not a regular user of cannabis, but I decided to use cannabis to calm myself down.'

"You don't want to do anything that's going to confound the ability of healthcare workers to make a rapid, accurate assessment of what's going on with you," he added.

According to Dr Glass smokers should think of what happens to a cigarette when lit and left in an ashtray;it burns quickly all the way down to the filter, with nothing left but ash.

"It's surrounded by paper. It's completely dried out. It is made to burn at a very high temperature," Glass said.
"Marijuana burns at a much, much lower temperature than a commercially made cigarette," said Glass.

"Because of that, the person is inhaling a certain amount of unburnt plant material."

"So right off the bat there are those patients who would be increasingly susceptible to having a bronchospasm or cough because they have a more sensitive airway."

I don't see any reference to any serious medical research in your article. So I can't trust this information. I can tell you that I didn't notice that my resistance to the virus was meager. Many people in my environment were ill with covid-19 last year, and I wasn't infected. I don't associate this with marijuana use at all, as Medical Marijuana Doctors New York prescribed me marijuana to remedy severe headaches. I read the article, where is the contrary opinion that smokers have more resistance to the virus. So I would like to hear more serious arguments of your view.

Covid-19 has made huge changes in our familiar world. Smokers and vapers have a greater chance of getting complications after contracting the next strain. Now the emotional stress is so great that it seems that if you hold up a match, everything inside will explode. I'm already afraid to smoke. I found some CBD gummies at https://www.tillmanstranquils.com/product/cbd-gummies-1500mg-melatonin/. Honestly, I have been trying to get rid of my addiction to smoking for a long time. Now it seems to be working. And I can say with confidence that it is great.

Despite that, I'll probably keep smoking and ask, where do you buy marijuana?

There is no point worrying about this now because a high level of collective immunity has been achieved. I am sure you will begin to forget what a pandemic is short. I agree with the commenter above and say that I have smoked weed and will continue to do so because it helps me cope with many problems. The main thing is to buy only quality varieties. Then you don't have to worry about your lungs. I buy weed at a local Brampton dispensary, and I've never been disappointed. After a long time of buying weed only here, I can no longer buy elsewhere because I don't trust anyone else.

I guess that's really true with regular marijuana. But I don't smoke it, I smoke hemp which is much safer and not for getting high. I take it in OrganicCBDNugs if you're interested. It's just for calming me down. In fact, I think it's about time the whole world legalized medical marijuana and cbd.
