The Christian Association of Nigeria has refused to condemn the death sentence handed to popular islamic singer, Yahaya Aminu Sharif. The Kano state governor is now expected to sign the death warrant in order to carry out the execution soon. The reaction from CAN came through the Kano state chairman of the association,  Adeolu Samuel Adeyemo who said the verdict should be upheld for the sake of religious tolerance and for a harmonious society. Many Christians feel disappointed by CANs decision not to condemn the act and the judgement.

In explaining the verdict, the CAN chairman said:

Quote
So, our interference is not relevant. Now, if you want to know the position of Christianity about blasphemy, I will say there is what you can blaspheme about and what you cannot. And the Lord Jesus said blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is a grievous sin that has no forgiveness. That is the position of Christianity

Quote
For us in CAN, the judgement of the Shari’a court is according to Islamic law and so we don’t have objection to it because it is according to the position of Islam

Imported religion was founded by criminals as a scammer business and their places of worship are fake business centres. They make alot of money but don't pay tax, just like armed robbers, kidnappers, bandits and terrorists organisations.
