US Approves Plasma Treatment Against Coronavirus From Recovered Patients

The United States of America has announced an emergency authorisation for doctors to use blood plasma from recovered coronavirus patients as a treatment against Coronavirus.
Approved by the Food and Drug Administration, this plasma therapy comes in the middle of intense pressure being faced by Donald Trump to proffer a vaccine to the virus that has killed over 176,000 in the United States.

The Food and Drugs Administration has also confirmed in a statement that the benefits of the plasma therapy outweigh the potential risks involved. Trump also said in a press statement that the plasma therapy “shows an incredible rate of success and will save countless lives.”

Various health experts have however debated the extent of the effectiveness of the plasma therapy, stating that it might carry side effects.
