Following directive from federal government that all SIM should be registered,this was the crowd that besieged the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) office Alausa on Monday.
.
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) gave all telecommunications operators two weeks to block all SIM cards not registered with National Identity Numbers (NIN). Just 2 weeks. What is the rush?
Some people are of the opinion that this is a festive period for Christians and that this directive would not have been issued during Ramadan.
