Following Cameroon’s 1-0 win over Zimbabwe in the African Nations Championship, CHAN, on Saturday, in Yaounde, the visitors’ coach, Zdravko Logarusic has accused the Indomitable Lions of ‘witchcraft’.

The Zimbabwen accused the hosts of turning to the dark arts to influence the outcome of the tournament opener after a dead bat was found on the pitch.

Goal reports that a photograph was shared showing Logarusic displaying the carcass of the bat, accompanied by a sign which reads ‘witchcraft in Cameroon’.

The hosts, Cameroon went ahead to defeat Zimbabwe 1-0, even though their chances in the tournament have been questioned, with a series of bad performances lately

This would not be the first time Cameroon have been accused of witchcraft.

Recall that ahead of their African Cup of Nations semi-final against Mali in 2002, Cameroon coach Winfried Schafer and goalkeeping coach Thomas Nkono were arrested by riot police for allegedly hiding a charm on the pitch.
