Commander, Presidential Air Fleet (PAF), Air Commodore Adesola Amosu, disclosed this on Friday while briefing the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Muhammed Dikko Umar, during the latter’s maiden visit to the presidential fleet.
Amosu said that because of the age of the aircraft, the cost of maintaining them was becoming too much.
According to the PAF commander, the H.S 125-800B aircraft was about 20 years old and would be replaced with Hewker 4000XP; while the two Falcon 900B, which were 20 and 22 years old, would be replaced with Falcon 7X and the Gulf Stream 1V, about 20 years old, would be replaced with G550 aircraft.
