
It was exactly 10 years on Saturday 20th March, 2021 that Yoruba actor, Ishola Emmanuel Durojaye popularly known as Hammed Alaasari, said bye bye to this sinful world at age 49.
In 2011, Alaasari newly bought a Nissan Armada car that he travelled with to Lagos before the gory incident took place at Onipepeye Village immediately after Kobape Abeokuta, Ogun State. His remains were laid to rest on Wednesday, 23 March in Abeokuta.
Then, many were not aware that the talented actor, who became popular after the release of his movie titled, “Iroko Oluwere” had Four wives and one of them was nursing a two-month old baby.
Last Saturday, a few of his friends, Family members, colleagues and others who still have him in mind, took to their various social media platforms to remember him.
One of them is the Governor of Ogun State chapter of Theater Arts And Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Owolabi Ajasa who posted the below on his Facebook page:
“10 years ago, on Sunday March 20, 2011. You left Abeokuta, going to Lagos, you had an accident & the accident claimed your life at Onipepeye village immediately after Kobape.. “ISHOLA DUROJAYE” (Hammed Alaasari).. Continue to rest in peace.”
