they need to find strength in their pains and know that life doesnt end there. they will need a good friend to listen not one that will keep telling them things will get better they really just need to be heard. for each woman its different but in all they need a friend. (i counsel different crime victims)

I guess the more reason they dont speak out its bcs they are scared of their future as in if they do speck out it is going to be very difficult for them to find a hubby remember no one is ready to marry a rape victim

victims of rape cases undergo psychological trauma. They need to be handled with care They are bound to relate incidents to previous events (recall) most times, it is good to make them understand they were raped. They should face the truth by letting them know they are not left along or to be excluded from worlds activities because of being raped.
OUTINGS, COUNSELLINGS, LOVE may help them heal faster.

MDS, there could be other reasons other than that.........how about the way society views rape victims, acting as if it was the victim's fault..............sometimes, it is like "what were you doing getting yourself raped"................?
