Surveys are sometimes overlooked, yet they serve an important part in research methods. It aids in the collection of a large volume of real-time data and the research process. It can be done at a minimal cost and in a shorter amount of time than any other approach. Quantitative and qualitative approaches can be used in surveys. Quantitative surveys must always take precedence over qualitative surveys since they produce numerical results and the data is genuine. Surveys are mostly used in business to determine market demand for a product and to anticipate production based on the survey's findings.

Case studies are another type of research approach in which several scenarios are explored and the best one for the study is chosen. Case studies aid in the formation of a research topic and the research's basis.
