Just today, I concluded that some doctors are responsible for some people's untimely deaths.....Or how does one explain the non-challant attitude of some doctors?.......I went to a hospital I have been using since I was a teenager, armed with a test I have done based on the symptoms I had, the doctor (a female) told me they dont recognise test(s) from outside their hospital. Ok doc, can you just explain what the test says?.......she says NO, she wont even look at it self.........ok, order for another test in your hospital na!, she was busy writing out drugs which I must buy in their pharmacy..........Now somebody tell me, on what basis is she prescribing drugs for me?..........This is just one of them cases............
Any one with a pleasant or not so pleasant case(s)..........lets share!

Well , i have no bad experience as no doctoe messes with me .
@ poster , must u buy those drugs , moreover who prescribed the test u did to u ?

when u are asked to go and pay before you come collect the prescription, no be force be dat?........
And as for the prescription of the test, I know dat if one is urinating too much like Oyindabty and is not pregnant, the person does Blood/Sugar check, discharge, you do honeypotl swab, headache/cough/cart-ah/body pain, etc......you do malaria test, etc..............am not a medical practitioner, but there is no harm in checking to be sure

Just walk out on the doctor. On what ground will i be force to pay b4 prescription is given to me. I think that the doctor does not knw what she is doing and is just there for money.

yea there is no harm but u could have asked the lab scientist to explain the result to u. Personally, i were in the doctors shoes , i will not explain a test result i did not prescribe .Though i dont support his insisting u do the test in his hopital or paying before getting your prescriptions , either will i felicit him for even writting out prescriptions to u without a thorough examination . But u know , most if not all the private hospitals especially in Nigeria is just out to make money

I don't go to all this doctors any more. I have a good doctor (BRITISH LADY) that has her own hospital AND SHE IS VERY GOOD. She takes her time to examine you and if care is not taken you will spend almost an hour with her to make sure that she check you. Mind you that she will not give you drugs until your test is out.

I was hoping the doctor would explain........yea a lot of hospitals in Nigeria are just out for the money..........and this is sad......human life should be sacred!...........

But like i said earlier , we should try to avoid self treatment or half self treatment. From ur write up , i think u should have seen the doctor first ,after examinations she will send u for some tests than doing ur tests first and bringing the result for him/her to explain to u .
Personally , i will not explain such test results to u

I knw one hospital in Abuja, no matter ur sickness, you will only get one injection and the rest is tab. My dear life mean nothing to them.

Life is sacred and that is even why i will not explain a test result i neither prescribed nor truth the lab scientist .And i will not prescribe any medications without proper checks .................................before i make a wrong diagnosis and prescriptions which is even worse than not attending to the patient

IF THEY WANT TO TREAT WITH INJECTION, FINE, BUT TO GIVE TAB FOR TWO DAYS AND ONE INJECTION IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BY ME. IF YOU ARE SUSPOSE TO BE GIVEN ANTIBOTICS, IS THAT HOW IS SUSPOSE TO BE WHEN ANTIBOTICS IS TO BE TAKEN FOR 5 DAYS.
