I learned that Christians normally abandon their business and other activities to go to church on Sundays. I go through the Bible but did not see where God asked you to do so. Why then are you?

"O you who believe! When the call for Friday prayer is made, hasten towards the remembrance of Allah Most High and leave all transactions. This is best for you if only you know." In this verse, "remembrance" refers to the Friday prayer and khutbah. "Hasten" means that one should go with great concern and care.

62:10 "And when the Prayer is finished, then may ye disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah: and remember Allah frequently that ye may prosper".
62:11 "But when they see some bargain or some pastime, they disperse headlong to it, and leave thee standing. Say: "That which Allah has is better than any pastime or bargain! and Allah is the Best to provide (for all needs)."

There is nothing wrong in devotin a day for purpose of worship to God. If d Quran had nt instructed d muslim on friday worship, i bet they wld hv chosen 1 for themselves. Besides, christian dnt worship only on sundays, we do dat everyday

Isn't it good that even though the Bible does not mention any specific day of worship that ppl still decide to honour God and dedicate a day to Him without having it written that they must go on a specific day? Better to give God the glory of free will than to do so simply because one is told to.
