The rampant killing of innocent people by police must stop. The police new very well that there were people in the area. They were fully aware of it. So the police must claim all responsibility. No criminal was shot and killed but the innocent young man watching a game. They took the life that they suppose to protect. I urge the family of the deceased to take the case to court and claim damages. The law must take its course. Here, the government will pay damages of over 400,000 euros. People should no longer keep silent and let the police kill them. Our silence in most cases is not acceptable. Our mothers, young boys and girls have to go out to protest against the police indiscriminate shooting and killing of innocent people. Its police force. They have also to be forced by society to keep the law they are required to enforce. This is how we get better. This is a show that the Nigeria police has no value for life. They have to be forced by society to show that value and respect. Government has to pay high price for damages. Posted: at 14-12-2010 10:20 PM (13 years ago) | Upcoming

kenyawest at 15-12-2010 03:00 AM (13 years ago) (f) May the soul of the departed rest in peace. I pray that those that are injured recover soon. We are not sure if the police fired these bullets or whether the criminals they wanted to apprehend did the firing. We should wait for the investigation to be over. Kind of hard to believe that police will fire where there is a large crowd of people. Posted: at 15-12-2010 03:00 AM (13 years ago) | Gistmaniac
