Eighteen presidential candidates for the Saturday, February 25 presidential election, on Wednesday February 22, signed a pact towards a peaceful election.

Presidential candidates for the 2023 polls were made to sign the Peace Accord twice. The first one was signed in September last year, prior to the commencement of Campaigns. That accord was signed to oblige the candidates to a peaceful Campaign.

The second which was signed by the candidates today, is to enlist their commitment to a peaceful conduct of the 2023 presidential election.

Members of the peace committee present include General Abdulsalami Abubakar, Bishop Matthew Kukah, and Dr. John Momoh, CON. Others were the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Usman Alkali Baba, and former president of South Africa, Thabo Mbeki, who leads the Commonwealth Election Observer Group to Nigeria.

The committee was introduced during the 2015 elections.

Tinubu alone should have been forced to sign it . He has been running away from it. Very violent man. The poor supporter of Labour Party who was attacked in Lagos a few days ago  by tinubus men has lost his hand. Amputated.

My sincere advice to all Nigerians on Saturday is to have their mobile phones fully charged and make recordings of all events that might truncate the people's will, like vote buying; coersions by party agents; corrupt acts etc and load it on YouTube immediately. These can later be used as evidence in the near future. To the CBN governor  my advice is to block all money transfer platforms and cash withdrawals from the ATM's on election day, most especially in the vicinities of the polling booths so as to prevent vote buying. To INEC, my advice is not to allow any voter make recordings of their choice on the ballot paper to prevent them from showing it as evidence to collect payment from the vote buyers. With this I say, good luck to all the good people of Nigeria and wish you all a new dawn of good governance. Future politicians will rather work for the masses instead of their own pockets once they realised they can no longer buy the people's conscience. It will be either you do the work for which you have been elected, or get fired from office by the people in the next election. This is the real new dawn of prosperity and power will finally be returned to the hands of the true owners, the people of Nigeria
